When you have a small slab to work with for a patio, it can be challenging.
I used to have a square table out here and 4 chairs. I thought we would enjoy eating dinner out on the patio. We used it maybe 3 times in 4 years and I decided I wanted to make it way more functional.
First things first, I sold that square table and went on the search for a couch that would get way more use. I searched at Home Depot, Sam’s Club, Lowe’s, Wal Mart, Amazon, you name it, I searched there for an affordable couch.
I went to my old faithful, Home Goods. The only problem, you can never go in there looking for something, you will find 100 other amazing things, except what you are looking for. I saw this gray couch and chair and fell in love.
I knew from the beginning I wanted palm tree pillows and I loved that these had a bit of color in them. Garden stools were also a must, they can be repurposed in any area, which is important. I love being able to move things around.
I thought that I was going to go with a jute rug, because they are so durable outside, but I found this green and white striped rug at Target and thought it would compliment the pillows perfectly, I was right.
I love the functionality of this couch and oversized chair on the small patio. It fits our needs perfectly.
