Welcome to Day #4 of #BrunchWeek!
When I was trying to decide on the #BrunchWeek menu items, I thought back to my favorite brunching spots and what I loved to order.
I immediately went back to one of my all-time favorite brunch spots, Cafe J, in Lubbock, Texas. We always drank this delicious St. Germain cocktail, it is champagne and not quite as acidic as a mimosa. They serve them by the glass or by the carafe and everyone I knew loved them!
I tweaked the recipe just a bit to add rose water extract. It was perfect it added just a bit of floral that was super tasty and smelled wonderful!
- For One Glass:
- 1.5 oz. St. Germain Liquor
- ⅛ teaspoon of Nielsen-Massey Rose Water Extract
- 1.5 oz. Champagne, dry
- Club Soda
- Lemon Wedge
- For A Pitcher/Carafe:
- 18 oz. St. Germain Liquor (2¼ cups)
- 1½ teaspoon of Nielsen-Massey Rose Water Extract
- 18 oz. Champagne, dry (2¼ cups)
- Club Soda
- Lemon Wedge
- In the bottom of a glass or pitcher, combine the St. Germain and rose water extract. Add ice to fill ¾ of the way. Then add the champagne. Top the glass/pitcher off with club soda and serve each glass with a lemon wedge squeezed in.
