Happy Good Friday!
When I redesigned my blog almost a year ago, I added a Travel section & a Home section. I have been pretty good about posting Travel posts, but the Home section was so intimidating to me. I finally pushed myself and got around to it, just in time for Easter.
I love the look of pastels for Easter. I don’t use pastels any other time of year, but for Spring, I am obsessed with.
Spring is such a magical time, all of the flowers and trees start to bloom and the sky just seems look a little bluer.
When building this tablescape I knew I wanted to use my cabbage bowls. They are my absolute favorite. They bring an almost whimsical feel to the table.
Here is my Easter Menu that is fool-proof!
*(I’ll put the links underneath the menu, because I currently am not tech-savvy and can’t figure out the hyperlinks & my company is on Easter break! Ahh!)*
Blueberry Chutney over Brie Deviled Eggs Spring Greens with Green Goddess Dressing Crumb Coated Ham Potatoes Au Gratin Whiskey Glazed Carrots Marinated Asparagus Rolls (do yourself a favor & buy store bought!) Lemon Cheesecake Chocolate Mousse Trifle
I LOVE this table runner it has gold speckles on it, which reminded me of Easter eggs and perfectly brought out the gold lining in the plates and the silverware.
I picked up these napkins in hopes that they would bring the pastel colors all together. The blue vases are from my absolute favorite pottery maker in Asheville. He is a gem and every time I am in his shop I just want EVERYTHING.
Spring flowers are a great way to bring Spring inside, even if the weather is acting crazy outside, which it tends to do in the Spring. I went to my go-to spot for flowers,Trader Joe’s. I am so lucky/spoiled that it is less than 10 minutes from my house. The flowers are so inexpensive and always in great quality.
My current dining room style is mixing metals. I love the light grey with silvers and then pulling the gold in from the mirrors on the back wall and using accents on the table.
