I have been making a finals gift package for my sister-in-law for a few semesters now. I love making them and I love sending her a little something to make the dreaded testing in a short period of time more bearable. She is graduating law school in just a few days (!!!), so I wanted to make this package pretty special. Of course, there is lots of quality-control testing going on while I am making and packing these items from Ethan. He claimed this puppy chow to be the star of the package, his sister agreed.
This was so easy to make and everyone loves it.
Ingredients: 12 oz. of White Melting Chocolate, or 2 cups of melting chips 3-5 drops of Lemon Oil, not extract 12.8 oz. Rice Chex Cereal 1 1/2 cups of Powdered Sugar
First, in a glass bowl, microwave the melting chocolate for 1.5 minutes, stir and microwave in 30 second intervals until smooth. When smooth, stir in the lemon oil.
In a large bowl, combine the cereal and the chocolate, stir using a plastic spatula until all of the cereal is coated. Place the cereal in a gallon ziplock bag and pour the powdered sugar in. Shake until all of the cereal has been coated.
